Description

The ‘Gabriele d’Annunzio’ University, established in 1965 as a ‘Libera Università’ (non state-owned university), became state-owned in 1982. Today, it has 13 Departments and 2 Schools.There are two university campuses: Chieti, registered office of the university with the offices of the Rector and of General Directorate, and Pescara.

In particular, the main research topics which strictly liaises with EIDD-DfA Europe, are:

  • Tourism, Environment and nautical design
  • Design for Sustainability
  • Ergonomic design for sustainability
  • Design for Inclusion / Design for All
  • Innovative materials for design
  • Project for sustainable tourist facilities in sensitive environments
  • Sustainable project for human settlements

These topics are mainly addressed in the “DePT Section” of the Department of Architecture at the Pescara Campus.
