3rd International Conference “Innovation in Occupational Therapy. Accessibility as a space for interdisciplinary and interprofessional cooperation”
place: Poznan University of Medical Sciences, ul. Rokietnicka 8, 60-806 Poznań, Poland
date: 3-4 march 2020
3 Poznań universities join forces to draw attention to accessibility of public space. Thanks to the wide range of lectures and workshops, addressed to entrepreneurs, scientists, representatives of public institutions and local authorities, each participant will have the opportunity to learn and experience how important accessibility is, as well as discover an interesting aspect of this issue from the perspective of his/her profession. The conference is organized as part of BaltSe@nioR 2.0 project co-financed by the European Union (INTERREG Baltic Sea Region programme).
Due to observed demographic changes, enterprises are forced to modify their market offer and adapt it to the needs of senior customers. Also public space (e.g. theaters, libraries, museums, parks) and senior homes must evolve. Contemporary public spaces should reduce discrimination based on age and be accessible to everyone. Being prepared for these changes is crucial both for private and public entities. Only international cooperation and a multidisciplinary approach can meet such a huge challenge.
Participation in the conference is free, however the number of places is limited. The plenary session will be translated into sign language.
