Cultural Heritage for All
Unlocking Europe’s potential through Design for All
Pescara (Italy), 28-29 november 2018
2018 is the European Year of Cultural Heritage.
In Europe a new generation of cultural policies, more inclusive and sustainable, is going to be affirmed, which aim to make it a laboratory of experimentation and innovation, in which design takes on a central role.
In this context, Design for All (DfA) represents one of the most important strategic levers for responding, through the enhancement of human diversity, to the needs of innovation that emerge from the European economic-productive and socio-cultural system, in which minor cultural heritage represents a formidable catalyst for the competitive relaunch and economic growth of territories and communities.
The idea of the event is to identify, through the DfA approach, some points of convergence between different economic-cultural sectors, to favor a multiplier effect of valorisation and attractiveness of cultural resources, both tangible, intangible and natural, which contribute to define the multiform identity of local contexts.
The event
The event is organized under the patronage of Council of Europe, SID-Società Italiana Design, Confindustria-Federturismo, Regione Abruzzo, Comune di Pescara-Councillor for Culture, University of Chieti-Pescara.
The event is divided into three modalities (conference/debate, exhibitions and workshops). Here is the final agenda: CHFA_Program
They are invited to attend Universities, public bodies, cultural institutions, cultural and tourism stakeholders (decision makers, economic and cultural operators, HoReCa entrepreneurs), designers, representatives of trade associations, research and education partnerships.
