Extraordinary General Assembly (Online)

Today, 15 December, our Association will hold the 2nd Extraordinary General Assembly, convened online to address a topic of strategic importance for our future.
The Assembly will focus on the proposed update of the Association’s name, from EIDD Design for All Europe to EIDD Design for All.
This is not a merely formal change. It represents a decisive step toward a broader, truly global horizon. Over the past years, EIDD has increasingly attracted interest, collaborations, and requests for membership from regions well beyond Europe.
Countries from Northern and Central Africa, as well as Asia, are already looking to EIDD as a shared platform for dialogue, exchange, and growth within the Design for All movement.

Adopting the name EIDD Design for All, reflects who we have become, and where we are going. It acknowledges the reality of our expanding community and enables us to extend our activities, welcome new members, and strengthen international cooperation, while remaining firmly rooted in our core values: inclusion, accessibility, equity, and human-centered design.
Paraphrasing our President Rama Gheerawo , this evolution is

“a love letter to the world” ,

The Extraordinary General Assembly of today is therefore a meaningful milestone in the ongoing journey of EIDD , one that looks forward with clarity, ambition, and shared purpose.
